29/4/2001 - More welding!

Fitted new wing rails this weekend. Started by trying to create an invisible join by 'joggling' the new panel. It soon became obvious that the new panel was going to need some adjustment to fit so I ended up grinding the edges as sharp as possible and seam welding the new rails on either side. Looks OK though and is very strong.

Next I started on the passenger sill. I cut off what remained of the old one then set about fitting the replacement. Found what remained of a previous inner sill so I cut that out all together. Tacked on new sill but set the car on fire in the process so I called it a day !

Also bought a rear roll cage out of the local rag.
